Have you ever wished you could ask someone a nutrition question without committing to a full consultation?

If you’re confused by conflicting advice, want to eat a little better, or simply aren’t sure where to start, these free sessions are a chance to get some clarity.

Bring one question and we can talk it through together. I’ll help you make sense of the general guidance and explore a practical first step where appropriate.

Our conversation will be confidential and judgement free, with no pressure to book anything else. If your question needs a more detailed look at your health, I’ll be honest about what we can and can’t cover in 20 minutes.

What can we cover in 20-minutes?

A good fit for these sessions

  • Exploring how food may be affecting how you feel

  • One question about everyday food choices

  • Practical guidance

  • Making sense of conflicting advice you’ve seen on the internet

  • General questions about macronutrients, fibre, tiredness, digestion, plant-based eating, blood sugar and metabolic health

  • Understanding general claims made about supplements

Better suited to a full consultation

  • A detailed review of your diet and health history

  • A personalised nutrition plan

  • Interpreting test results or investigating ongoing symptoms

  • A review of the supplements you take, including whether they’re suitable alongside your medication

  • Nutrition advice tailored to a diagnosed condition

Not sure whether your question fits? You’re welcome to ask. If it needs more time or an individual assessment, I’ll be honest about that and explain what kind of support might be more appropriate.

How it works

  1. Book a 20-minute slot using the button below or drop in on the day.

  2. Fill out the short form either online or in person. All I’d like to know in advance is your name, email address and the topic you’d like to discuss.

  3. When it’s time for your session go to the Wellbeing Room. If the door is open come on in, if it’s closed I’ll call your name when I’m ready. The surgery reception doesn’t manage bookings

  4. You don’t need to prepare anything, just bring yourself!

  5. I’ll follow-up with an email afterwards to give you any relevant tips from our chat!

Ask a Nutritionist sessions are provided by Sarah from Nourishing Pathway as an independent private service, separate from the NHS and Minchinhampton Surgery. The surgery reception team doesn’t manage bookings so please speak directly with Sarah about this service, you’ll find all required information to the right of the reception desk.

You do not need to be enrolled at Minchinhampton Surgery to access these sessions.

If you have new, worsening or concerning symptoms, please contact your GP or another appropriate healthcare professional rather than waiting for a drop-in sessions. As a Nutritional Therapy Practitioner I do not diagnose or treat conditions, however I can work alongside medical professionals to enhance you health and wellbeing.

Each free session is for one adult. You’re welcome to bring someone for support, but if they’d like nutrition advice too, please book separate appointments. To help more people access the sessions, I ask that you book just one free visit per person.
